Contributing to Communities through the Corporate Version of Hometown Tax System

Onoken makes donations to local governments in the regions where we operate using the Corporate Version of Hometown Tax System, which provides tax incentives to companies supporting regional revitalization. We will continue to use this system to help resolve regional issues, such as child-rearing support projects and more library services.

Promoting Diversity in Human Resources

At Onoken, our employees are viewed as critical assets for the growth of the company.
Labor shortages are becoming more extreme amid Japan's declining birthrate and aging population. Given this situation, we recognize the importance of creating an environment where employees can adopt flexible work styles suited to their individual circumstances. We recognize that these management issues are directly related to improving our corporate value, and we are actively promoting the following initiatives.

Maternity and Childcare Support

Employing Recruits from Overseas

We have many non-Japanese working with us, including international students, highly skilled workers, and technical interns, and the number is increasing every year.

Promoting Employment of the Elderly

We actively operate a post-retirement re-employment system and hire people over the age of 60 even if they are not part of the re-employment program.
This enables them to successfully pass along their knowledge and skills while also helping to alleviate the labor shortage.

Human Resource Development

At Onoken, we encourage employees to build up their knowledge and skills through on-the-job training overseen by their superiors and senior staff. We are also improving our training programs for job level and work themes to boost employee skills.
As well, we support our workers to acquire more qualifications, covering the cost (fees for technical college and examinations, etc.) for employees chosen by the Company. Qualifications are rewarded with a monthly allowance, depending on the level.

As society undergoes a major shift caused by COVID-19 and the digital transformation (DX), we are looking to reskill our workforce in order to respond to these changes.
